Celsius Pro helps Australian farmers to take out Weather Insurance to protect their income from the effects of adverse weather. This could be for a number of reasons such as a bad forecast, fluctuations in temperature between the ocean and atmosphere, or increased incidents of adverse weather events due to climate change.
Weather insurance is based on data provided by The Australian Digital Forecast Database which contains official weather forecast elements produced by the Bureau of Meteorology, such as temperature, rainfall and weather types, presented in a gridded latitude and longitude based format covering the last 40 years. Celsius Pro focuses on the weather and the consequences it has on Australian Agriculture. Weather affects yield, production, and hence returns. Financial protection is offered from weather that affects your income tailored directly to farmer's property.
Celsius Pro wanted a solution which could make it easy for customers to get a weather insurance certificate online and improve their customer acquisition rate.
Our solution
Our design of weather insurance application is targeted to calculate insurance and also integrate with the existing customer CRM solution. The app not only calculates insurance based on a complex algorithm but also gives the end-user freedom to interact graphically to get the desired premium. Once the premium is calculated the end-user can download the certificate in a PDF format. We have given our customer control over the calculations using backend, which can be customized depending on the market's financial condition. We have also integrated Google Analytics into the site for our customer to get a clear picture of end-user interaction with the application.
